White shrimp are caught along with the 7barbas and are consumed mainly along the coast of São Paulo and Santa Catarina. They are popularly known as legitimate shrimp. They have a high protein content, essential amino acids that are highly digestible and low in fat. In addition, they contain omega 3, omega 6 and nutrients such as calcium, potassium, sodium, phosphorus, iron and zinc, as well as B vitamins.
