Most octopuses live at the bottom of the ocean, in deep, dark waters. Some species are pelagic, that is, they live close to the surface of the water. They can take shelter in burrows built in rocks or even under the shells of other animals. Octopuses have a high biological value and are easily digestible. They are low in fat (around 1.2g per 100g) and, consequently, have a low calorie content, making them a recommended protein for those who want to lose and control their weight. The vast majority of their fats are polyunsaturated, mainly omega 3 fatty acids.
