Alaskan pollock, Gadus chalcogrammus Pallas, 1814, formerly known as Theragra chalcogramma Pallas, 1814, are teleost fish from the Alaskan Peninsula. In addition to their mild flavor and tender texture, pollock fillets are an excellent source of lean protein, making them a healthy addition to your diet. They are caught in the North Pacific Ocean, stretching from Alaska to the southern Sea of Japan.
