The species lives practically along the entire Brazilian coast, from the North to the Southeast. The fillet of the Pescada Cambucu offers an excellent cyst-benefit ratio and is currently the most consumed species on the coast of São Paulo and Santa Catarina. It is also sold well in Pernambuco and other states in the Northeast region. It has a mild flavor, no bones and its color is very natural. It is good for those who have digestive problems or want to lose weight, as it is low in fat; and it strengthens bones, thanks to the presence of minerals such as calcium and phosphorus.
