In Norway, this unique and tasty mollusk is caught manually by divers, which makes the Norwegian scallop one of the most ecological seafood in the world. Industrial production is concentrated in Canada, the USA, Japan and Argentina. Farmed production is strong in Peru. Among so many advantages, we can highlight that the scallop is a food rich in omega 3, which is linked to the defense against heart disease, as it regulates cholesterol levels in the blood, fights free radicals that roam the body and prevents heart attacks and strokes.
