Xanthan Gum

Xanthan gum is obtained from the fermentation of glucose or sucrose by the bacteria Xanthomonas campestris. It is a thickening agent used in various types of cosmetics to help stabilize emulsions and give products smoothness. It is highly water-soluble and available in 80 Mesh and 200 Mesh versions.

Xanthan gum has the following qualities:

• Thickening agent

• Feeling of softness

• Does not leave sticky

• It can be used in shampoos, conditioners, creams and liquid soaps.
